Laura's Homework (Question 20)

QUESTION 20:

A 30kg bag of fertilizer is labelled 15-20-10. This means that it contains 15% nitrogen, 20% phosphorus, and 10% potassium by weight. How many kilograms of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are in the bag?

First, lets find out how many kilograms each ingredient is.

15% of 30= 4.5 kg

20% of 30= 6 kg

10% of 30= 3 kg

4.5+6+3= 13.5 kg
