Edmil's Coin Math, Scribepost October 13, 2009

Coin Math

Mr. Harbeck asked us to answer how many coins would be in a jar of $100 with no loonies and toonies.

Part 1

1) What graph would be best to display the data?

I think the best way to display the data is by using bar graph.

2) How many coins are there in the jar?
There is probably more than 1000 coins in the jar if its all 1 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents.

Part 2

3)How long would it take if you put a single coin everyday starting on January 1, 2010?
I think it would take almost 8 months.
