Telisa's Four4's October 30, 2009

Even though I was not here for the four4's lesson I think that i have grasped the concept of what I am supposed to do.

Why are 4÷4 + ( 4÷4 ) = 2, is the same as 4/4 = 4/4 =2.
The traditional ÷ sign can also be represented as /.
The / may also be used as a fraction sign instead of the – sign.

when you do this you get the same answer because.

The two dots on a divide sign are representatives of the numbers you are dividing. In a fraction instead of dots the numbers are being show, this is one of the relations between division and fractions.
