Runcel's BOB, BOB 2,Ratio October 30/09

Today for blog we must do three Part- to -Part ratio ,Two Part to Total ratio , and Three part ratio.

Part -to -Part Ratio:)

part to part ratio- compare different parts of group to each other.

Here are three examples of a Part-to-Part ratio.

1:) Green to blue
3:3
2:) Yellow to silver

2:1
3:) Orange to Yellow
1:2

Part- to -Total ratio:)
Here are two examples of Part-to-Total ratio:)

Blue to whole
3:12

Yellow to whole
2:12

And here are Two examples of three part ratio:)

Yellow to blue to Green
2:3:3

Green to yellow to Silver
3:2:1

Here are my three questions:)


I have 4 red crayons, 2 blue crayons, 1 white crayons, 3 orange crayons, 6 green crayons, and 7 yellow crayons, and a total of 23.

Word ratio:)
1:)Give the word ratio of 3 to 23 and turn it into fraction, decimal, and percent.

2:)Give the word ratio of 1 to 6 to 4 crayons. and choose one of these that describes them if they are three term ratio, two term ratio, or a percent.

3:)Give the word ratio of 6 to 2 and turn it into a percent.

4:) Four students are running for student council president . Of 30students polled, 15 chose mike, 3 choose patricia ,6 chose brian, and the rest choose karen. What is the ratio for girls to votes for boys in the student council election? Express the ratio in lowest terms .

Eric is able to stop 85% of the shots on goal. If he faces 27 shots on goal, how many goals would likely be scored on him?

In a group of 84 students surveyed , the ratio of student preference is seven oatmeal eaters to four granola eaters to three toasted O's eaters.

12:) of the 84 students how many prefer oatmeal
on number 12 I put 7 but the right answer is 42

I got the answer by multiplying 7 by 6:)

13:) of the 84 students how many prefer granola
on number 13 i put 4 but the right answer is 24

I got these answer by multiplying 4 by 6=24

18:) In a student election Carol gets 60% of the votes. If there were 485 votes cast, how many votes did carol get?

carol-60 =6/4=1.5
total-100 485.
