Chantell M's Pay it Forward

Sorry for the lateness, I wasn't able to post this because my Internet was down for a bit.

Part 1:

Pay it Forward is the type of movie that gets you to think. It gets you to think about being kinder to people. Or about being more generous to those around you. Simple acts of kindness that get those you've helped to do the same. I think making an effort to change the lives of people who are perfect strangers, is noble. Helping them, and wanting nothing in return is the ultimate act of selflessness. To think of someone else's needs just because you want to, and not because you're the only on there. For someone so young to think of such an idea is remarkable! Not only is it remarkable, but profound. Getting people around the country to 'pay it forward' is something not the average person would think of. I think Trevor is a hero in his own right. It doesn't matter to me that he is a fictional character, the idea of it all is what gets to me. Also to 'pay it forward' one must go beyond the boundaries and help someone with a choice or deed that they can't make or do themselves. You don't need to be a superhero to pay it forward. All you need is the instance and the opportunity to do so. So when you can 'Pay it Forward'.

Part 2:

I paid it forward by preforming at Lion's Place, with S.P.A.C.E (Sargent Park Advanced Coral ensemble. We preformed for about 20-25 senior citezens and they loved us!

I chose this activity after being shot down with my other attempts. I tried to clean mhy street but it got too cold too fast. Brrr! It's still freezing. Where's my hat and gloves? Anyway.

S.P.A.C.E. and sang and danced for a group of elderly people. We sang various Christmas songs, and danced. My feet still hurt!

I did my act of kindness on Wednesday, December 9th. Like I said I was shot down in my other attempts. I wonder of the bullet holes are still there. *checks* Nope they're gone, all healed up.

I don't have any pictures, which sucks for me... I tried to film it and take a few pictures, but I couldn't find my USB cord to upload them.... I'm sad about that.

Part 3:

The whole thing went pretty well. We even got to do an encore! They loved it! Wait, I said that already right? Whoops...

Each time we stopped singing they clapped and I felt that they really enjoyed the songs we sang. I'm glad we took the time to put smiles on their faces. We even got cookies out of it! Not that they're the only thing I care about. They were good and I'm glad they thought we were good enough to make them happy.

I felt great! The singing and dancing was really fun and the audience really enjoyed it. I hope we can do something like this again. Hehe we even got to get out of class for it. (Um disregard that, please?)

The people reacted well. They clapped nad laughed and smiled, it was a great experience. I'm glad we made them happy.

We left before I could explain about paying it forward. I wish I could of said it though. But, I think they will pay it forward regardless. They're just awesome like that. You agree, because come on, people like that aren't selfish or greedy.

Part 4:

I think paying it forward is important, because it gets people to think of those who need help. Helping others for the sake of helping and not because you've been told to is just - just EPIC! Yeah, that's my word, not stealing.... or else... Just kidding, ot you huh? No? Darn...

I guess my act of kindness made a difference. I mean if we didn't preform I guess the senior citezen's day would have been a little bit boring. Something to make their day or lift their spirits I guess.

Pay It Forward

Part 1
So after I finished watching the movie "Pay It Forward" I learned a lot, about empathy, and putting yourself in somebody else's shoes. The movie was about a 12 year old kid who had a system of "Paying It Forward". The system was someone does a good deed, and that person does a good deed for 3 other people, and it just continues in the cycle. I learned sometimes its better to think about other people before yourself, and understand how other people are feeling, which is close to impossible.

Part 2

What was your act of kindness?
My act of kindness was cleaning my room without being asked to. Usually my parents have to ask me to clean it but I decided, to just go in my room and clean it up.

Why did you choose this activity?
I chose to do this activity, because my room was mess, and my Mother was really unhappy about it, so I tried to think about how she was feeling (annoyed probably), so I went to clean my room up.

Who did you help?
I helped my Mom by saving her the stress.

What did you do?
I cleaned my room without my parents asking me to.

When did you do your act of kindness?
I did my act of kindness December 8th of 2009.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?
It went pretty good, but I still need to re-clean my room, cause it isn't really that clean.

What Happened?
My mom saw it, she said it was okay, but I have to clean it again on the weekend.. she was happy I did it without being asked to though.

How did you feel?
I felt good about it, usually I have to be asked to do something like that, and this is probably the first time I cleaned my room without being asked to.

How did the person react?
The reaction was pretty good, she was happy that I had cleaned it up, because she says "It looked hideous" but I doubt it was that bad..

Did you ask the person to "Pay It Forward"
Yes I told my Mom to smile when she goes to work, and say hi to everybody she hates. Just a simple smile can be paying it forward.

How did they react to your request
The reaction wasn't "hurray" it was a just an average reaction. I might have to remind her to pay it forward.

If you did not ask the person to pay it forward how come?
I did ask.

What is the idea of "Pay It Forward"? Has your act of kindness made a difference?
I think the idea of "Paying It Forward" is to be nice to somebody, or do a good deed for somebody, without being asked to. Just naturally having empathy, and being nice etc. I don't think my "Pay It Forward" drastically made a difference, but its made a difference in my Mom's day, her blood pressure was lower, and I saved her the shouting. Thanks for reading my "Pay It Forward".

Brianna and Nhea's Pay it Forward

Part 1 -
The movie was very sad and touching, one eleven year old boy made a deference. In the beginning it all starts out as a Social Studies project that turns into a world wide movement. To me this one boy had an amazing impact on the people around him. All he did was was feed a homeless man, then that man stopped a women from throwing away her life and from there more people were inspired to help and be kind to one another. In the end the boy, Trevor, was killed for trying to help someone in trouble. In my opinion he went about it the wrong way because instead of involving himself in the fight he could have spoken to the boys or told an adult what was happening. If he tried any of these solutions he might not have died. But over all this movie inspired me to be be kind to people and help them, I think I might even try donating to a charity once in a while. This movie had a very powerful and effective message, the more people that watch it, the more people will be inspired to help out.

Part 2 -
Nhea and I helped kids and adults at Busy Bee Daycare, where Nhea grew up at.
We chose this activity because we like working with kids, and because that's where pretty much grew up and I got to know all the adults and kids. One girl even got really attached to me. I helped the adults clean the tables after snack time, I helped the big kids with their beading, and the little kids their reading. I jocked around with the kids and got to know some of the kids and adults. Today at 4:oo, December 8, 2009.

Part 3
How did your act of kindness go? The volunteering was really fun and very entertaining. Nhea and I got to know the kids better, and one of the staff members, Jerry, told us a whole bunch of jokes. I felt pretty at home because the adults were friendly and the kids were happy to see us. Cathrine, one of the staff members was very friendly and I became slightly attached to her because we talked like we were the best of friends, in my opinion she was pretty cool. The daycare manager, Donna, had a motherly personality, I say this because even though she was strict, she was still kind and warm hearted. Everyone there made me feel warm and welcome I felt very comfortable. The adults seemed very appreciative of our help and the kids were happy to have us around. No, i didn't because they were young and i don't think they would really understand.

Part 4-
I think pay it forward is important because if you help one person then, they may help another person and so the helping chain begins, this shows the importance of helping others. I believe that it made a difference to the kids because we showed them right from wrong, and I hope that it will make them better people in the future.

STEPHANIE, Jasmine and Karra's Pay it forward.

PART 1.
What is Pay It Forward?
My thoughts on pay it forward is that if you try to do something, don't think it won't work, because one way or another someone can be inspired by you and tell other people. Even if you think someone won't be inspired by whatever you do or tell them, there is at least 1 person who would admire you. If people become more mature about things then maybe it can make a difference to the world. The project that they did in Social Studies was kind of the thing that we need fore school. I think this video was suppose to make us nice because if we are or if we know someone who is bad then probably this movie will help us to think twice about what we should do then maybe people wouldn't end up so bad in the future. I like the idea 'Pay it Forward' by helping three people, then they help three people. Even if you just do that, you can help the world a whole lot.

Part 2.
What was your pay it forward act of kindness?
- My act of kindness was that my friends and I got cards and lollipops and handed them out randomly at Polo Park.

Why did you chose this activity?
- I chose this activity because I found that it would be a real fun and easy way for people to see how kind we are by doing this just because we want to.

Who did you help?
- I think that I helped a lot of people to open up their Christmas spirit.

When did you do your act of kindness?
- My group and I did our act of kindness on December 07, 2009. It was the only day that all three of us weren't doing anything after school.

PART 3.
How did your act of kindness go?
- My act of kindness went great, I never thought that it would have been as great of a success as I thought it would be.

What happened?
- Well when we were giving out the cards, most people had a huge smile on their faces and gave us positive comments. For the people who rejected us, they rejected us kindly they said, "No thank you!" which was polite and didn't give our hopes up.

How did you feel?
- I felt great. At first I thought it would have been pretty boring, but then once we started making the cards , putting messages and giving them out. I got a feeling that I never felt before, the feeling that I did something good which I did. I really loved how after we gave out cards or pass by people who saw us giving out cards saying, "Aw, their so cute!" It really made me have more confident. When we had no more cards left, I really wanted to buy more and give it out!

How did the person or people react?
- Well some people really appreciated 3 girls giving them Christmas cards. When I was looking at them they had really big smiles on, I felt like i mad their day. But then some people were just really cranky and give us a look and walk away. But then it was probably because we were taking videos and pictures of them.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay it forward"?
- Yes I did. That was one thing that I never forgot to say when I handed them the cards.

How did they react to your request?
- For some people we had to explain what 'Paying it forward'.

PART 4.
Why is the idea "Pay it forward" important?
- The idea of Paying it Forward is important because you can make the grumpy people happy and asking people to "Pay it Forward" can change anything.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
- I really hope it made a difference, because my group and I tried real hard to even make the slightest difference.

And...
DON'T FORGET TO PAY IT FORWARD GUYS ! :)

Karra, Jasmine and Stephanie Pay it Forward

Heey! (:

Part 1

What is "Pay it Forward"?

Pay it forward to me is about helping unfortunate people and making people feel like their important. Most people have money and food and some people can't afford things. People think that they have nothing going for their future but one person can change everything. Mostly everyone has a household and parents that care for them. Their is some people that don't have a family that care for them.
Part 2

What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?

My group and I Payed It Forward by handing out cards and and suckers to people we saw.
Why did you choose this activity?

We choose this activity because we wanted to show people that not all people are rude and mean. To the people to we gave cards to I hope we made their day better by giving them cards and a little treat.
Who did you help?

We helped a lot of people by giving them cards and a little treat.
What did you do?

My group and I decided to hand out cards and give out suckers to people that we saw walking around and that looked sad.

When did you do you act of kindness?
My group and I did our activity on December 7 ,2009

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?
Our act of kindness went way better than we thought. It was so much fun handing the cards out. Everyone was so happy when we gave them cards.
What Happened?

Most of the people excepted our cards and were very excited when we gave them. When we were giving out cards a boy came up to us and asked us if he could have one, we were pretty shocked when he came because we were happy that a boy actually wanted to pay if forward.
How did you feel?

I felt really happy when people excepted our cards and were happy that they got a card. I felt really good when people gave us nice comments and how they gave us a big smile.
How did the person or people react?
Some people enjoyed that we gave them a card and treat and some people looked at us like we were crazy. I think the reason why they thought we were crazy was because we were talking pictures and videos.
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?

When we gave people the cards we told them to " Pay it Forward" and "Merry Christmas. " We also wrote it on the cards so if they didn't hear us they could see it on the card.
How did they react to your request?

Most people looked very grateful that we gave them a card and I think some people didn't except it because we had a camera.

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?

I think it is important because we made people happy and hopefully made their day better. Some people we gave cards to looked like they were not having a great day and when we gave them a card they looked really happy.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?

I think our act of kindness made a huge difference because people we gave cards to looked like they were not having a great day and when we gave them a card their face lite up with happiness.

Chantel`s Pay It Forward

Hey guys,

Part 1:

In the movie, Trevor's teacher gave them an assignment "pay it forward" to do in Social Studies. Trevor was trying to make a difference by helping 3 people, then those 3 people help 3 others. It also meant try not to think of yourself all the time and get into someone else's shoes and help the ones in need.

Part 2:

My act of kindness was to watch my brother.

I chose it because when I usually don't watch him becuse he's usually with his friends.

I helped my mom so she can go where ever she wants to go.

I did this on Sunday after my hockey practice.

Part 3:

I did this at my house because my brother and I couldn't go anywhere.

What happend was, on Saturday December 5th my mom asked me if I would watch Noah for $10 an hour and she was gone for 5 1/2 hours. She came back and said "heres your money." But I didn't take it.

I did not tell my mom to pay it forward,

Part 4:

The idea "Pay it Forward" is important because if you help someone, they just might help someone they know and keep going on in a cycle.

My act of kindness probably has made a difference. My brother wants to watch my little cousin, but he is too young to watch little kids.

sorry my pictures couldn't upload. =(

Ronny's, Alex's, Kenneths, and Devins Pay it Forward

Part 1

What is "Pay it Forward"?

Pay it forward is a random act of kindness that you do to other people. Its when you help someone do something they can't or doing something nice. By helping someone a little, your really doing a lot. Your influencing the person you helped to do the same which goes in a never ending chain. As Trevor in the movie, "Pay it forward" said,

"You see, I do something real good for three people. And then when they ask how
they can pay it back, I say they have to Pay It Forward...to three more people. Each. So, nine people get helped. Then those people have to do twenty-seven." He turned on the calculator, punched in a few numbers. "Then it sort of spreads out, see, to eighty-one, then two hundred forty-three, then seven hundred twenty-nine, then two thousand, one hundred eighty-seven. See how big it gets?"

Part 2

What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?

We put candy in people mail boxes with notes attached.

Why did you choose this activity?

Because it was Christmas season, we decided to give people candy so we could brighten up their holidays.

Who did you help?

We helped lots of people, we put bags in around 20-30 houses.

What did you do?

We randomly chose a street in the neighbourhood and put candy in bags with little thank you notes saying "Pay it Forward from SPK kids" then put them in peoples mailboxes.

When did you do you act of kindness?

We did our act of kindness on the 7th of December.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?

It went alright but our fingers were freezing by the time we were done.

What Happened?

Nothing out of the ordinary happened but we did meet some people on the street like people from UPS or the mailman. We gave them a bag aswell.

How did you feel?

I felt good for helping people other then myself because I haven't really done anything like this before and I liked the feeling I may have helped someone. I would have felt warm inside if it wasn't so COLD outside.

How did the person or people react?

There wasn't really anyone we could get a reaction from other then the postman and UPS guy. They gave us a smile, thanked us, and went on his way.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?

Not really, but we put it on the notes attached to the bags.

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?

It is important because not many people help other people, making some people feeling lonely and unapreciated. People like it when you help them.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?

I hope our act of kindness did help someone become cheerful or happy.

Don't forget to pay it forward!

Jasmine, Stephanie, & Karra's Pay it forward.

Waaaazzzaaaaapp.

Part 1

What is "Pay it Forward"?
'Pay it forward' is about other things that are happening in the world besides the nice thing we can have in our own household life that our guardians have given to us. It also means that when you help out a little bit and pass it on, maybe people can get effected by it because of what you have done. This is a big reminder that there are a lot of people that are less fortunate. It also means that there are hope for people who think they just can't fix their life that they have wrecked.

Part 2

What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
My group and I handed out cards and candy to random people for our act of kindness.
Why did you choose this activity?
We chose this activity because we thought that people could see that there are nice people in the world that would take their time just to make other people happy by giving out nice cards or candy, and hopefully we got that message across the people we have given our cards and candy to.
Who did you help?
We helped by trying to make other people have a more joyful day or a more joyful life, and hopefully make them think about making other people more joyful.
What did you do?
My group and I decided to give out cards and candy for those people who are just walking around, and trying to put a smile on their faces.
When did you do you act of kindness?
My group and I did our random act of kindness on December 7th, 2009.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?
Our act of kindness went really well, better as we hoped it would be.
What Happened?
Some people accepted our cards with a big smile on their face or a really nice comment, some people would just walk away and say 'no thanks'.
How did you feel?
I felted really good about how the people reacted when we gave our cards to them, it really made me happy about how they gave us really nice comments or gave us a really big smile, it made me feel good inside and made me want to do more and more!
How did the person or people react?
Some people would just walk away and stare, probably because we would have a camera just taking pictures or videos of them, but most of the people gave us a smile.
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
We asked a lot of people to 'Pay it forward' because we put 'Please, Pay it forward' on all of our cards, that they could hopefully see.
How did they react to your request?
Some were very freaked out because of the camera and some were really joyful and looked like we made their day!

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
This was very important because it could make a person feel better or help then through ought the day if they were not feeling good.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
I think out act of kindness really made a difference because it might of helped someones life if someone were really mad and wanted to kill somebody, but we probably made them happier so they wont kill anyone.

Monica's Pay it Forward

Pay it Forward

My Pictures:

Pay it Forward was a movie we watched on Friday. In the movie there was this boy named Trever. In the movie he wanted to make a difference, even though in the beginning it didn't really work, but in end he manged to help some people. Even though it was just a school assignment, he tried to do every thing he could to help.

What did you choose to do for this activity?

-For my Pay it Forward, I donated food to Winnipeg Harvest.

Why did you choose to do this?
- I choose to do this because, Winnipeg Harvest goes to a good cause.

Who I helped?
-I helped people who don't have any food by donating.

What I did?

- What I did was put posters up at my parents work. The posters asked people to donate food and toys we told them that we were going take it to Winnipeg Harvest. I also donated some of my own food.

When I did this act of kindness?

- I did this act of kindness during the two weeks, I think it was last Saturday that we went to Winnipeg Harvest.

How did you act of kindness go?

-It went pretty good, nothing bad happened during the assignment.

What happened?

-What happened was me and my partner Tamika decided a day we were going to go to Winnipeg Harvest. Then when we got there we donated.

How did you feel?

- When I did the act of kindness I felt good. The reason I felt good was because, I don't really do things like that every day.

How did they react?
-They were happy that we donated.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay it Forward"?

-Yes we did. I don't know if there going to Pay it Forward, but I hope they do.

How did they react to your request?
- The people there were like, "Oh, thank you!"

Why is the idea "Pay it Forward important?

- The idea " Pay it Forward is really good. Because people don't really think about helping others. Also, people really do appreciate it when you help them.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
- I think it kind of made a difference. At least you know your donation is going to some one you needs it.

"PAY IT FORWARD!!! :)"

Justin M, Riemer M, and Noel R's Pay It Forward !

Part 1 - What does Pay it forward the movie mean to you?

- The movie is a very touching. During the movie or after the movie, it gives people a feeling wanting to help. Trevor came up with an idea to help 3 people , and those three people would help another 3 people and so on. That is a great way to help the world, but there is a lot of other ways. He even gave up his life to help. After watching the movie, it actually got me thinking about what I could do to help. It gave me a gushy feeling inside that's makes me want to help people. He did it for the unfortunate, and just to help the world become a better place.

Part 2
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
Why did you choose this activity?
Who did you help?
What did you do?
When did you do you act of kindness?

Our act of kindness was giving clothes to salvation army so the poor can have clothing. We chose this act of kindness because we had extra clothes that weren't going to be used so we thought of giving it away also we saw a lot of homeless people that are cold and begging for money and we thought that giving them clothes was a good way to donate. We helped the poor and the homeless, we gave them clothes so they could keep warm and have clothing. We did our act of kindness on December 8, we did it late because my mom (Justin's) was busy so we told her it was due the next day.

This video got us inspired to help the cold and homeless.

First video- Us at Salvation Army , and my mom has no idea what shes doing with the camera.

Second Video - Showing what we brought.

Part 3
How did your act of kindness go?
What Happened?
How did you feel?
How did the person or people react?
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
How did they react to your request?
If you did not ask the person to "Pay It Forward" how come?

Our act of kindness went great. The people there were glad we brought things. We walked in with a lot of garbage bags full of clothes and the girls working there said " aw, you guys brought things in" We felt awesome giving away stuff and giving to the unfortunate. When we were walking out there was a poor person near the door and asked for money , and i gave him 2 dollars. I know, its a lot. I did not ask the people to "pay it forward" but we told them about the idea. All they said was " Oh ". We didn't ask because we completely forgot too, we were thinking about all the donations.

Part 4
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
Has your act of kindness made a difference?

The idea of Pay it Forward is important because we have to sometimes think of people before ourselves. We have to sometimes give and not ask for something in return. Also for the unfortunate that have nothing and we have to provide them with something so they could survive in this cruel world. Our act of kindness has made a big difference, giving clothes is a good way to pay it forward. Now some people wont freeze to death in the winter. And I think people watching us give stuff away makes them want to "Pay it Forward".

Picture with Salvation Army employee, "GOOD JOB"

NOW ITS YOUR TURN! PAY IT FORWARD !

Tamika and Monica's Pay It Forward

Part 1

I think this movie is very inspiring to young people. It shows you how one person CAN make a difference. It would be hard to go through some of the stuff that Trever went through. It shows you that you can still do anything you put your heart to; even if you don't have lots of support or a good environment to live in. In a way it makes me want to change someone's life and to help others. But I still feel like I can't change anything and I don't even know how. I know that the one boy made a difference, but I don't think I can. If we have to do a project on this movie I might try to raise money for the Humane Society or get food for the Winnipeg Harvest. If I do that it still only helps a couple of people, it doesn't change anything or make other people change. I really liked "Pay it forward", it wasn't what I expected. I thought it would just be a boring movie about how some kid went to school that was "stupid" and turned out being smart. BUT it was MUCH better and I didn't want to stop watching. Even in the end I was crying because of what that little boy did. Actually I want to find this movie and hopefully buy it.

Part 2

Our act of kindness was donating food, clothing and money to Winnipeg Harvest. And collecting toys for the Children's Hospital.

We chose this because we knew that there are a lot of people without food and we like helping kids.

We ended up just helping the Winnipeg Harvest.

We gave the Winnipeg Harvest food and toys.

We had signs up at our parents' works if they could help to donate. We had those signs up for a week. Then we gave the donations to the Winnipeg Harvest on Tuesday.

Part 3

I think our act of kindness went okay. We wanted to collect more, but we didn't have enough time. Also we couldn't go to the Children's Hospital, I'm not sure why, but we weren't allowed to.

It wasn't that exciting. We just brought the donations to Winnipeg Harvest, I explained what we were doing, took a couple of pictures and that's about it.

I felt happy that we were helping people because the lady there was saying that they hadn't got that many donations in a while. I also felt disappointed that we didn't get that much stuff. I was also surprised because the lady said all the food we brought in weighed 25 pounds.

The lady was very grateful that we brought stuff in and she said it was a big help.

I told the lady that was working there about the "pay it forward" and she said it was a good idea. It looked like she was interested in what I was saying and she might want to "pay it forward", too.

Part 4

I think "pay it forward" is important because we need to help people and make more peace in the world. Also there are a lot of people that need help and we're able to help them, so we should.

I think that what we did, did make a difference or will make a difference. Like I said earlier, the lady said it helped a lot because there haven't been too many donations. And she was saying that 25 pounds of food goes a long way.

Pay it Forward

Part 1

The movie that we saw called 'Pay it Forward' was an inspiring movie. I think we watched this movie to show that there's more to life than just your self. the movie helped me realize that I could do something to change the world. What I think is that Trevor wanted to change the world because of what he was experiencing at home.

part 2

What did you choose to do for this activity ?
What I did for my pay it forward was collecting food from family and friends and take it to the Winnipeg harvest.

Why did you choose to do this ?
I choose to do this because Lot's of people don't have much food. since it's the holidays i thought it would be a good present for less fortunate people.

Who I helped ?
I helped people that don't have much food to eat.

What I did ?
I sent out an email to my family and some of my mom's friends telling them what I was doing and I asked if they could bring 1 or 2 non-perishable items. It was my cousin's b-day this past weekend and we had a party for him so my family brought the items to his party and gave them to me. I'm amazed that some of them brought like 10 items. for the people that didn't go to his party I went to their house and picked them up. once i got the items i took them to the Winnipeg harvest.
When I did this act of kindness ?
I finished my act of kindness Tuesday December 7th at about 3:45 because Winnipeg harvest closes at 4:00.
There are supposed to be pictures but mine would not go on the blog.

How did your act of kindness go ?
my act of kindness went really well.

What happened ?
I didn't know were to take the food so I had to ask like 20 people.

How did you feel ?
I felt good helping other people in time of need.

How did they react ?
They were very thankful of how much i brought into them.

Did you ask the person or people to " Pay It Forward " ?
I forgot to ask them to pay it forward.

How did they react to your request ?
I don't think they were too suprised of the request because they get lot's of food from people everyday.

Why is the idea of Pay It Forward important ?
It is important because it will help people that are less fortunate.

Has your act of kindness made a difference ?
I'm pretty sure that it helped a lot of people at the same time.

Jennifer's Pay It Forward

Hello Everyone!
Feel free to listen a background music as you're reading my post!

Part 1
"Pay It Forward" what it means to me is like an emotional roller coaster. Going through the tough times, the sad times, the happy times, and the harsh times. I've even felt so sorry for that boy. Trevor because he got stabbed at the end of the movie. But he made a difference right? At first, his idea on how to connect the world is by teaching 3 people to Pay it Forward. Then the 3 people he teaches with teach 3 more people. Eventually the world will know! But the people he wanted to teach I think bailed on him. I've also realized that in the movie, there were a lot of kindness going on and at some point, they can make a difference also! The movie also makes me feel that I should do something nice to the homeless people. Like giving them food, or shelter. Another thing I can do is like donate money to the poor people so they can use the money to get something they need. So making a difference is such a very nice thing to do!

Part 2
My Pay It Forward act of kindness was to "Volunteer to Babysit For Free"
The reason why I choose this activity is because I love to play around with the younger kids. (Especially with babies or toddlers) It's also because that it hasn't been awhile since I'd had a baby sitting job. Who I've helped was my neighbour also my auntie named Loan to babysit her 2 year old son named Cleo. I've did this baby sitting job on December 5, 2009.

Part 3
My act of kindness was a success! What happened was that when I was baby sitting Cleo at my home, I had a few lists of things I had to do. One of them was that I have to play with him until it was around 7:30pm. That's when I'd had to feed him with Milk. The last thing I had to do after that is to play with him again and put him to sleep by 9:30. Do you know what's the most funniest yet the most funnest part when I was playing with him with his awesome Mega Blocks, for some reason, no matter how many times I keep trying to build a tower, he keeps on breaking it down! Cleo was also a sneaky and smart kid. You want to know why? It's because Cleo tries to hide the toys for some unknown reason. His best place for hiding toys away was the speaker hole. Even one time he hid a ball the same size of the speaker hole he hides in. It was really hard on getting it out! I even have to use like those small soup spoons just to get them out. How did I feel on doing this activity? Well I felt great! It was really fun taking care of a younger child. It reminds me of my younger self in fact. Anyways at the end, my auntie came to my house to pick up Cleo. She was very proud of me that I did a good job! I've also did ask her about "Pay It Forward" she seems very interested about it. I've told her more about it an she feels "Inspired" about it. I'd wish if she can make a difference thanks to me!

Part 4
The reason why the idea of "Pay It Forward" important is because it's a good way to spread the message to people to do something nice for a change then being selfish. I think my act of kindness starts small at first, but I hope that everyone gets to learn to PAY IT FORWARD!

Thanks For Reading Folks!

Gordon, Bruce, Warren, and Jomari's Pay it Forward

What is "Pay it Forward" in your opinion?
In my opinion "Pay it Forward" is really anything you do to help someone out, because the point of "Pay it Forward" is to help someone out with something just to help them out, not because they asked you or because you need to make money but because its the right thing to do. Its like when someone volunteers at an old
folks home, most of the time people do it because they like to help others with
things they can't do by them selves not because they have to but because they want to.

What was your Pay It Forward act of
kindness?
The act of kindness that we did was put Christmas cards in peoples mailboxes and even hand a few out to people or on cars windshields.

Why did you choose this activity?
We chose this activity because we felt that everyone wants to be wished a Merry Christmas.

Who did you help?
We helped depressed people because for some people Christmas can be very sad if you have no one to spend it with and even if you don't know who did it, it feels good to know that someone out there wants you to have a Merry Christmas.

When did you do you act of kindness?
We did our act of kindness the second week of the assignment so that we could hand out the cards as close to Christmas as possible.

How did your act of kindness go?
Our act of kindness went well we managed to hand out almost all of the cards and the few people we actually handed cards out to seemed very happy to have been wished a Merry Christmas.

What Happened?
The hand outs went well and the few we placed on card windshield some times had to be put on one or two more times but nothing other then that went wrong.

How did you feel?
I felt good because when I saw how happy some of the people we gave cards to seemed it made me feel like I made someone have a better holiday.

How did the person or people react?
One person, the woman that works at Ashcroft was very happy and thanked us for wishing her a Merry Christmas.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
No we did not ask the people to "Pay it Forward".

If you did not ask the person to "Pay It Forward" how come?
Because we had more letters to hand out and not much more time so we wished them a Merry Christmas once more and headed on our way.

Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
Because it gives people a reason to help others, most people won't help someone else unless you give them a reason so "Pay it Forward" is kind of like a charity in the way that it give people a reason and way to help others less fortunate.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
Well we won't know how it affected most people but for the people that we directly gave the cards to I think that they might feel more important or like someone cares more about them then they thought. So I think we made a difference even if it was a small difference.

So take what we did and think of your own way to help other people without being asked or being rewarded with anything other then that good feeling you get when you do a good deed.

A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.
-Charles Darwin
