Coin Math

Wazzaaaaapp.

Question: Choose 2 questions from the questions 8-16 made from the Jar of Coins. You can find the question and the picture of the Coin Jar here. (Click it)

Answer:
1. How long did it take to fill the jar?
  • It depends how much money you put into the jar per day.
If you put: 3- Five cents.. 3- Ten cents.. 8- Pennies.. 1- quarter.. you will get 78 cents per day, which means, it will take around 127 days until you reach 100$. If you put in more than 78 cents a day it will be a shorter time until you reach 100$. If you put in less than 78 cents then it will take longer than around 127 days.

2.If you put one coin a day.. How long until the jar will be filled?
  • This question depends on how much you put in the jar. If you put a Penny(.01) each day to reach 100$, it will take 10000 days to reach 100$. If you put Five cents (.05) each day to reach 100$, it will take 2000 days to reach 100$. If you put Ten cents(.10) each day to reach 100$, it will take 1000 days to reach 100$. If you put a Quarter(.25) each day to reach 100$, it will take 400 days to reach 100$.

  3. nice job jasmine, you explained your answer for question 1 nicely but you could have orginized the data in a chart or table

I believe you were supposed to use a purple and a red/blue, not blues/reds so that made question 2 a little the same as 1
