12. The rate at which glaciers melt is increasing globally. The Saskatchewan Glacier near Banff has receded 1.5 km in the last 75 years. The Peyto Glacier receded 1320 m from 1923 to 1993. Which glacier had the greater annual rate of melting?

Saskatchewan glacier melts 0.02 km in the last 75 years.

1500 m /75 year= 20 m/year;

The Peyto Glacier receded 1320 m from 1923 to 1993. Which glacier had the greater annual rate of melting?

It didn't say how many years did 1320m receded here is how you get it, subtract 1993 by 1923 together you get 70 years!!! Peyto Glacier: 1 320 m/70 year= 18.86 m/year.

The Saskatchewan glacier has the greater rate of melting.
