Kevin's Scribepost for December 14th 2009

Hey guys !

My scribe post was to do number 13 from the textbook , so here it is.

13.A small triangular flower bed has a square
stepping stone at each of its sides. Is the
flower bed in the shape of a right triangle?
Explain your reasoning.
No, the garden is not a right triangle, because the sum of the
areas of the smaller squares (a.k.a the legs) are not equal to the area of the
largest square (a.k.a the hypotenuse) : 4800 + 4800 = 9800.
