Ratio: When two or more quantities are compared in the same units.


Rate: When two quantities are compared in two different units.

They are different because they both compare units in a different way.
They are also the same because they use the ratio notation.


Question #7) Determine tbe value of 100g's of nuts and explain which is the better buy.

Nuts #1) price $2.19 per 300 g's
Nuts #2) price $3.09 per 500 g's
Nuts #3) price $4.83 per 700 g's

What is the value of $600 Canadian in euros?In order to figure this out, we need to figure out the unit rate????
It would be 0.694 euros/canadien $
Question. Euros/600 canadien $
Answer: 0.694 X 600= 416.4--416.4/600 canadien $

onion diced =1. 1/1=1. 1x10=10 onions
celery diced=1. 1/1=1. 1x10=10 celery sticks
garlic cloves=1. 1/1=1. 1x10=10 garlic cloves
tomatoes (can) = 14oz. 14/14=1. 1x10=10 cans of tomatoes
tomato paste = .5 can. 0.5/0.5=1. 1x10=5 cans of tomato paste

2) What would the recipe look like if you had to only serve 1 person? Show your calculations.
