alex's coins in a jar

For homework we had to choose 2 questions from the jar of coins. One red or blue and one purple.

My first question was red and it was what are the diameters of the coins? But I also put the radius of the coins.

Quarter-D=2.3 cm R=1.15 cm

Dime-D=1.7 cm R=0.85 cm

Nickel-D=2 cm R=1 cm

Penny-D=1.9 cm R=o.95cm

My second question was what was the most common coin in the jar?

The most common coin in the jar would be:

Penney's 75%

Nickel's 15%

Dime's 7%

Quarters 3%

Coin math part 2

If you started dropping coins into the jar, on January 1 2010, what day would you finish filling up the jar with
Canadian and USA coins?

I think that if you started dropping coins into the jar on January 1 you would stop on around January 13, 2:00.
