Ratio:It means 2 or more quantities measured in same units.

Rate:It means 2 or quantities measured in different units.

These are differences between a ratio and a rate: A Ratio can compare more than 2 values. A rate can only compare2. a ratio can only compare same units. Rates can compare different units.

This recipe wound serve 4 people, how many ingredients do we need to serve 10 people?

35 oz Can of Tomato Chopped

3.75 Can of Tamoto Paste
