Travis recorded the following data about how he spends his day.
a) How would you make a bar graph to help argue that Travis spends most of his time sleeping or going to school?
You can make a bar graph to show that Travis spends most of his time sleeping or going to school by making a a graph with an x-axis that somehow shows the bars for sleep and school really standout. You can make them stand out by combining them to show that he spends a lot of his time sleeping and being at school. You can also do this by making the bar(s) a different size than the others or different color.
ex:
b) How would you make a bar graph that Travis could use to
argue that he spends almost as much time on homework
as he does at school?
You can make a bar graph that Travis could use to argue that he spends almost as much time on homework as he does at school by making the interval values on the Y-axis larger than you normally would. Some numbers you can use for the interval values are 10,20, or 30.
