Discount : What you save
Sale Price: What you pay
...And how you can show these as a percnt.

For this problem I used a ratio table.
First I found 1% and then used that to find the ,
GST : 1.75
PST : 2.10
The total cost of the backpack would be.. $38.85
$35.00
$1.75
$2.10
--------
$38.85
To double cheack my answer I added the percent of the GST and PST together and found that percent out of 100%.
$35.00 + $3.85 = $38.85

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
100% - 40% = 60% so I found 60% of 35, and then I found the GST and PST from that.
Please comment and tell me if anything is wrong
