Ratio - expresses different quantities in the same units.
Rate - expresses two quantities in different units.


What is the difference between ratio and rate?
The difference between ratio and rate are that rate compares 2 different units and ratio compares 2 of the same units .

A.)Small Size:$0.59/250mL=$0.00236/mL
Medium Size:$1.09/500mL=$0.00218/mL
Large Size:$1.99/1000mL=$0.00199/mL

B.)$0.199/100mL

C.)The large carton is the best but because the unit rate is the least.

B.)The answer to part a) is a rate because it is a comparison of two different units.
